About The Artist
My art takes many forms, but there’s always one strong theme within each brush stroke, every sketch mark, intricate mouldings of clay and craft materials. This is the theme of deep emotion. I primarily work with acrylics and oils but won’t shy away from other mediums that help me express my thoughts.
At every corner of my life, I’ve always been drawn back to art. My most vulnerable moments are when my creativity flows, and art starts to become more than just paint on canvas.
I delve into many themes with my work, I explore mental health primarily, expressing pieces of my scattered mind in ways that are both terrifying, yet beautiful. But I also explore themes of sexuality and gender, to which I have a close relationship with being a trans woman myself. Political injustice, both past and present. Environmental awareness and finally, community.
My journey with art started at a very young age, I’ve been drawn to creative expression for a while and that’s what’s led me to explore a career in this field. I always expressed my desires to make it in the world of art, taking up all the creative options when in high school, then going to college to pursue a degree in art and design, which eventually landed me a university degree at The University of Bolton, which I graduated with a 2:1 in Fine Art. I am now following my chosen path in freelance, building my career one brush stroke at a time.
This website is a journal of my experience with art, think of it as a book with many chapters. Each page is a new exciting chapter, depicting my thoughts and relationships with various different art forms. Exploring my development and understanding of what art is to me, and why I have chosen this life. This website is my baby, my magnum opus if you will, every word, every image, is a purposeful stride to reach out to the general public and share something beautiful.
I want to show the vulnerability of a human life, of someone with an open heart, willing to express how they feel on a deep level, with no filter, and its up to you, dear reader, to tour this world I have created, and to open yourselves up to a different perspective in life.
